Senior Systems Engineer- Product Manager

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Systems Engineer- Product Manager to become part of the C-17 Training Systems team supporting USAF and International programs using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in St.
Louis, MO.
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization.
C-17 Training Systems is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft.
As Product Manager you will provide Engineering leadership to teams representing multiple skill areas, working with program management, leadership, customers, subject matter experts, and engineering teams.
Position
Responsibilities:
Develop, prioritize, and execute Statements of Work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing, and new business requirements in alignment with the SAFe operating rhythm for the organizationsResponsible for leading technical execution of project to update aircrew and maintenance training devices.
Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
Understand and support program work by collaborating with Business Owners and Vertical organizationCommunicate and prioritize with customers and Sr.
management to obtain approval, identify, manage, and incorporate changes to statements of work and assess the impact of those changesNegotiate proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs, schedules, and roadmapLead project execution to complete the work statement and identify performance metricsPlan, identify, prioritize, and coordinate resources required over the life of the program that requires coordination with multiple scrum teams, external resources, and customersCompare actual results to the baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learnedIdentify corrective actions to improve team performance as part of the Inspect and Adapt workshopProvide technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of products, you may act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) or delegateWork with System Architect/Engineering to understand Enabler workSupports the RTE in PI Objective definitionParticipate in PI planningDefine releases and program incrementsDrive system demos & PI demoBuild an effective Product Management/Product Owner teamThis position requires the ability to obtain an active U.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor degree or higher in one of the following engineering disciplines, computer science, mathematics, physics.

Experience with any of the following is desired:
Independently working in DOORS, including creating requirements and linking objects.
The ability to lead proposal development efforts and prepare basis of estimates along with support documentation.
Provide technical leadership to a team of proposal and supplier engineers.
Support internal, customer, and supplier program reviews.
Have Experience with Customer and Supplier negotiations Due to the technical complexity of these trainer systems experience with computing infrastructure, trainers and training systems is desired, but not required.
Knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems and/or aircraft maintenance is a plus, but also not required.
Experience with Earned Value ManagementFamiliarity with tools such as VersionOne, JIRAFamiliarity with Continuous IntegrationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong collaboration and coordination skillsCurrent SAFe CertificationsEducation &
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.

PhD+4 years', Master+7 years' related work experience).
